Rose Zappariello founding Director of RZ EPsy Ltd
HelIo, welcome to my website.
People define me as a very proactive Educational Psychologist. I am registered to practise with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP).
I worked in special needs schools and supported living accommodations for children and young people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviour.
I have always been fascinated by the children psychological health.
During my internship as a psychologist in a mental health department in Italy, and in my training in England as child psychologist in mainstream schools, I realised that educational psychology was the field of study that most appeal to me.
I was trained in emergency settings and have been a Red Cross Volunteer for more than 12 years: I learned to do psychological triage and provide emotional support for people in crisis.
I moved to London to broaden my horizons and to study people in a truly international environment.
I studied Cross cultural psychology which guide me when studying cultural factors with an impact on my clients' behaviour, and lead me to work with refugee families and attend volunteer missions abroad.
Honestly, living outside my Country has made me really motivated to know more about children and young adults of any culture, to understand their identities, backgrounds and make sure their rights are preserved and they fulfill their needs happily and safely.
I always get the best out of my studies and experiences, so much so that during the Covid19 pandemic I wrote the e-learning modules of the Psychology Foundation Program for a University in London. At that time I also worked as an essential worker and emotionally supported people in need.
Vulnerable people Safeguarding is really important to me in fact I become a SEN School Governor and studying counselling skills to help children and families to express and understand their feelings and needs.
I practice independently for Local Authorities, individuals, private education agencies and schools, providing students cognitive, emotional, behavioural and learning assessment, consultations, intervention and training for parents, staff and teachers.
I work closely with families, teaching staff, caregivers and children. I do observations, interviews and use validated assessment tests when required. I usually work in person but often schools and families ask me for support remotely, via video call.
